Lemon Bourbon Smash

I love a good Smash. I like them with most spirits, but I love them with bourbon. The mint, which is typical with a Smash pairs well with bourbon – a la a Julep and the addition of seasonal fruit makes for a tasty cocktail.

At dinner recently I saw one with lemon as the seasonal fruit. Lemon…hmmm, not sure about this one but I was feeling adventurous.

One word – WHOA. The touch of lemon balanced the mint and was delicious.  It was a perfect balance to the mint. This one was easy to replicate at home and I can’t wait to give it a go.
