Knappogue Castle 12 Single Malt Irish Whiskey

image000003.jpg

Full disclosure – I bought this one because it was St. Patrick’s Day and I liked the packaging. I used to work for a packaging company, so good packaging gets me every time. EVERY TIME!

Thank goodness for these internets cause I wasn’t sure how to pronounce this one. Turns out Knappogue is pronounced - Nah’ Pogue - which translates to hill of the kiss in Gaelic. Lovely

In a word this single malt is smooth. I tasted peat in my pour; but I didn’t mind one bit. And some spice. This is an easy one to drink neat. Not sure if it is the triple distillation or what, but this was delicious and easy drink.

Try it. You’re gonna thank me for it!

Sláinte! (Cheers)
