Hot Toddy Minus the Tea

Or in other words, hot water and bourbon. It is delicious. I know how weird this sounds, so let me give you the backstory. At breakfast, I ordered a hot toddy and it arrived like this ¯ a jar of hot water, the bourbon added and a tea bag on the side.

I didn’t pay attention to the tea not being in the water because a) I could smell the bourbon and b) I thought perhaps they used green tea which tends be light in color. So I sipped it knowing that the tea would be weak’ish but the bourbon would be flavorful. I was ok with that. So when I tell you warm/hot water with bourbon was tasty, it was. I added a bit of honey and it set me ‘toddy’ right. If you enjoy the taste of bourbon – and I am assuming you do if you are on this site, then you’ll like this warm hug of a drink.

Try it and tell me what you think. No really, I want to know.

Cheers,
