The Good Stuff

I was gifted a bottle of ‘The Good Stuff’ Templeton’s 4-year-old Rye. Nice gift 😊

Spice is the word that comes to mind and the mouth. The color is a warm caramel or toffee. It looks like liquid amber. The nose is spice and the mouth is full flavored and lingers on the tongue.

My first glass was a lot of alcohol and overwhelming. I immediately thought of moving this to the back of the shelf. However…

Never the quitter, I endeavored to try again. I tried it neat which was a bit much for me. But I think as a pre-dinner drink before a savory meal would be delicious. I next made an Old Fashion – it has me dancing in my chair. The spiciness with the cherry juice was YUMMY.
