I went out to dinner to celebrate my mother’s birthday and decided on this pretty little drink.  I picked the drink before I knew what it looked like, but still, it’s pretty and I’m a geek about a cocktail in a coupe.

I’ve been on a Rye kick as of late, and this one had it, Amarro, huckleberry, lemon and egg white. The egg white delivered a big mouth feel which was needed as it probably would have been watery if it was missing. There was a good balance between the tart and sweet and it delivered a nice finish.

Stay tuned, I’m inspired to recreate this one.
