Heaven’s Door

It’s been a minute since I bought a new bottle because I am tired of drinking what I have. My taste buds wanted something new. I stumbled across Heaven’s Door.

Thankfully this doesn’t have a high ethanol scent, so I can truly smell different profiles. There is a lot of caramel on the nose. I like that, a lot. Maybe some baking spices too. The color is light to medium amber and at 92 proof, something that I can sip neat. And so, I did.

The legs on this are nonexistent. I’ going to attribute that to the proof. This is delicious. The caramel on the nose, comes through in the mouth. The mouth feel is watery; but I like it.

I can’t wait to use this in cocktails. With the caramel forward taste, these are going to be great.

After my tasting, I did a little research. Turns out this is made in partnership with Bob Dylan. Yup, that Bob Dylan. I’m not a fan of celebrity branded bourbons – most are trash. Glad I found this out after I tried it or else, I would have skipped over the bottle.

Cheers,
