October is my birthday month – one time for the Libra Brown Girls!

I was out to dinner with family and the menu was full of seasonal bourbon cocktails. I love Fall! In true Libra fashion, it took me a minute to select my birthday sip.

I landed on Father and Son, an interesting mix Angel’s Envy, blood orange maple syrup, lime juice and mint leaves. It’s an interesting mix of flavors.

The cocktail wasn’t bourbon forward, which I appreciate. I am always unsure when I see Angel’s Envy in a cocktail if it will be bourbon with a dash of flavor or truly a well-balanced cocktail. This was smooth and easy to sip. I love orange, so I wish that it was amped up.

Overall, I liked it. I think I’ll love it when Kimberly Elise recreates it to my taste preference.
