The young prince is on spring break, and we’re in Atlanta with family. We visited Morehouse College and spent a wonderful day on the yard -we loved it. We also really enjoyed the aquarium too.

As we’re taking in the sites of Atlanta, we stumbled across a restaurant near one of the malls that boasted a large selection of healthy options. The vibe was great. Music was bosa nova- win. The menu looked tasty and everyone found something to eat. Score!

I came across the Common Bond cocktail. It is bourbon based of course, so you know I had to try it. Pressed apple juice, chai spice and lemon rounded out the ingredients. All the makings of a delicious drink that calls my name. The combination reminds me of winter holidays, so I was curious to taste this in the springtime. Unfortunately, this one fell flat. The Chai spice was heavy on the cinnamon, and it overpowered the drink. It reminded me of early attempts at Cinnamon’s Kiss. A little bit of cinnamon really does go a long way, but only in a cocktail.  😉
