1792 Small Batch

Ayyyeee. The takeover continues, another Brown Girl with a review.

To the eye: this 8-year-old rye has a deep caramel color. Nice legs that slowly, very slowly make their way down the glass. It immediately brings to mind the Rockettes – all legs. Might I say quite entertaining?

On the nose: hints of honey and vanilla are immediately evident. Let it sit, it will open up and give you the woodiness that one would expect.

In the Mouth: Palate - Rye and Caramel. There is no subtleness here. I might use the word thick or chewy, but that may be off putting, and I found this pour very satisfying. The tongue feels coated.

And the finish: It bites going down. Spicy with hints of a dark fruit which speaks to the high rye content. A little peppery too.

I like it. Tell me what you think?
